I have spent most of my life in Southeast Michigan. I love this area and I proud to make it my home. My wife Chelsea and I met here and started our family here after being married in 2016. We have three wonderful sons that constantly keep us busy. In our spare time we enjoy being near the water, the outdoors, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  I love to follow sports, especially professional golf, baseball and football. I am a lifelong Lions fan

The path that brought me to where I am today was a unique one. After a brief internship in this field during my college years, I felt dismayed about the industry itself and what I perceived to be inadequate care for clients at that time. This made me decide to pursue other career opportunities.  After a rewarding stint at Ford Motor Company that was highlighted by my time working on their sophisticated Pension and 401k Plans, I felt re-invigorated to try to find a way to help people with their personal financial matters. My role as a fiduciary for the Plan participants at Ford Motor really resonated with me.  This experience caused me to choose my business model as a fee-only fiduciary with a Registered Investment Advisor.

I founded Hilltop Wealth Management in 2018 and built a successful firm from the ground up when many told me it couldn’t be done.  In 2026, I rebranded as Consilium Private Wealth in order to better convey to the world how I help those I have the privilege of working with.  In Latin, Consilium means careful counsel and purposeful planning.  If you ask anyone that I have helped over the years I believe they will tell you that everything we do here is purpose driven to seek the best outcome for the client.

Going from corporate America into practice as a solo Wealth Manager is not common, but clients have told me that my unique experience in addition to my credentials as an MBA, a CFA Charter Holder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and a Certified Tax Specialist gives them great comfort that they are in good hands with our firm.

I also feel it is imperative to give back to the community that we live in. Among several organizations I am involved with, I am a Board Member for the GUILD of St. John Hospital in Detroit. I also serve on the finance committee for the Foundation for Henry Ford St. John hospital and I am a proud member of the Hundred Club of Detroit.
